These include route guidance, real-time traffic information, emergency assistance and facility location.
Having begun with Nate Drive, SK Telecom's vision for Telematics has become a reality. SK Telecom entered the Telematics market with the introduction of NATE Drive in Mar. 2003. Based on the advantages of wireless internet services and operational know-how, NATE Drive is the world's first handset-based Telematics service.

"Telematics" refers to vehicle services providing various information to drivers such as traffic, route navigation, location based information, etc.
Telematics = The integrated use of telecommunications and informatics, also known as ICT (Information and Communications Technology). More specifically, it is the science of sending, receiving and storing information via telecommunication devices to the use of Global Positioning System technology and navigation.
In 2005, Navigation-specialized phone is launched to give higher value and more convenience to drivers.
- Telemetrics route guidance compensates for the disadvantages of existing navigation systems, which always provide the same routes, by reflecting GPS and real-time traffic information through connectivity with the Telemetrics Center. This enables the support of safe driving by providing drivers with the optimum route to their destination based on current road conditions.
