SK Telecom and MobilTalk signed an agreement to create a strategic alliance in wireless home automation service and agreed to stage joint marketing campaign on September 26.
Unlike the wireline home automation services currently available, wireless home automation service allows two-way remote control and visual monitoring while on the move using the cell phone anytime anywhere, which makes it a multimedia service suitable to cdma2000 1x (IS95C) services to be available soon.
Joon Dong Bae head of the SK Telecom Business Marketing Division says, ?We are planning to use this technology that allows anytime anywhere monitoring using a cell phone to develop applications for factory automation in the coming years.
