Get information about and apply for administrative services of your school
Previously PDA-only services now available on WAP- enabled mobile phones to n.TOP users
SK Telecom?s (www.sktelecom.com) mobile Internet service n.TOP introduces ?CyberCampus? service that will allow university students to take care of the school-related activities on their mobile handsets beginning October 26.
CyberCampus users can check their grades, sign up for courses, view the signup description, apply for various transcripts universities issue, and get information on part-time jobs and receive the latest campus news.
In addition, users can use their mobile phone as the student ID card to enter the school libraries, view the contents of the school paper, and find other students with the same interests to create cyber communities. In a word, student users will be able to take care of almost all of their school-related activities using their cell phones.
SK Telecom began to work on the development of the service jointly with the major universities in October 1999, and made the service available on PDA devices in March this year. The service will now become available on mobile handsets through mobile Internet service starting October 26.
n.TOP users can sign up for the service by registering their student ID numbers on the mobile phone if they are students of Seoul National Unviersity, Sook Myung Women?s University, Yeung Nam University and Kook Min University. There are no separate charges for using the new service.
CyberCampus service is provided by connecting the database systems of the universities with the mobile phone network of SK Telecom to hook up to the Internet. The company expects that the new service will maximize user convenience in terms that it will facilitate free interactive communication between the students and the university.
