We are very pleased that SK IMT has been among those selected by the Korean government to provide IMT-2000 services. On behalf of all SK Telecom employees and over 780 equity holders participating in our consortium, I would like to thank the government, screening committee members and other related officials for their tireless efforts in carrying out the IMT-2000 operator selection process.

In the course of providing information and communications services, SK Telecom has remained committed to two goals. First, we have sought to develop and strengthen the competitiveness of Korean industries related to information and communications. Second, we have aimed to be first in providing consumers with high quality services at affordable prices.

I believe that the government and screening committee have rated these efforts highly and selected us to provide IMT-2000 services accordingly. I can also assure you that we will remain committed to these same goals in the future.

Above all else, we recognize that our selection as IMT-2000 service operator will provide the basis for all our loyal customers to maintain their confidence in us.
