SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM, hereinafter “SKT”) today announced its consolidated earnings for the third quarter of 2026, based on Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS): revenue of KRW 4.4973 trillion, operating income of KRW 552.3 billion, and net income of KRW 411.8 billion.

Revenue increased 3.2% quarter over quarter (QoQ) and 13.1% year over year (YoY), driven by growth in the company’s wireless and fixed-line telecommunications businesses. Operating income exceeded KRW 500 billion for the third consecutive quarter, continuing its recovery momentum.

On a non-consolidated basis, SKT reported revenue of KRW 3.1563 trillion, operating income of KRW 413.5 billion, and net income of KRW 298.9 billion. The company declared a third-quarter dividend of KRW 830 per share, in line with the first and second quarters of 2026.

SKT’s telecommunications business continued to grow, driven by customer-focused products and services.

In wireless, the company showed a gradual recovery in revenue as it shifted its marketing approach toward customer lifetime value (CLV).¹ SKT also ranked first in all three of Korea’s major customer satisfaction surveys — the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI), Korean Standard Service Quality Index (KS-SQI), and Korean Customer Satisfaction Index (KCSI) — this year. This demonstrates progress in restoring customer trust.
¹ Customer lifetime value represents the total value a customer generates over the entire period of using a particular service. It serves as a critical metric that reflects the depth of the relationship between the company and its customers.

Fixed-line telecommunications revenue grew 7.4% YoY, supported in part by an increase in broadband internet subscribers.

SKT establishes execution framework for AI infrastructure and consolidates AI services

SKT established a dedicated execution framework for its AI data center (AIDC) business through the launch of SK Hyper in July 2026 and SK Horizon in August 2026.

Under the framework, SKT will oversee overall AI data center strategy, risk management, and global partnerships. SK Hyper will lead business development, while SK Horizon will be responsible for infrastructure operations and expansion. The division of responsibilities is designed to strengthen execution across the business.

Currently, SK Horizon is developing new data centers with a capacity of approximately 180 MW in Ulsan and Seoul — and plans to expand its submarine cable business in phases.

SK Hyper is in discussions with potential customers on business terms, with a focus on Ulsan. Once agreements are finalized, the company plans to accelerate infrastructure development by leveraging secured sites.

SKT is also on track in its AI services business. The company is expanding the use of its proprietary AI foundation model across its A. (A-DoT) AI assistant and workplace AI services. Through its participation in Korea’s “AI for All” initiative, SKT aims to combine its telecommunications and AI capabilities to build the nation’s largest AI services ecosystem.

“Built on our two pillars of telecommunications and AI, we were able to achieve both recovery and growth at the same time,” said Park Jong-seok, CFO of SK Telecom. “Going forward, we will work to bring our telecommunications and AI businesses together under a unified growth strategy and further amplify synergies between them.”
