Foreign visitors to Korea during the World Cup can enjoy

SK Telecom (www.sktelecom.com) announces the launch of "NATE International" service that provides voice calls, as
well as useful "Killer Content" in English, Chinese, and Japanese, for foreign visitors to Korea during the World Cup. This service is scheduled to start on May 20th, 2002.
For this service, SK Telecom will launch a multi-functional handset, "IM-5000", that supports such functions as, foreign languages (English, Chinese, and Japanese), 65,000 bit colors, 40 chord melodies, photographing and transmitting pictures. IM-5000 handsets will be offered to foreign visitors at the SK Telecom International Roaming Centers at Incheon and Gimhae International Airports.
NATE International service provides such useful content as, tourist information about Korea, World Cup information, national and international news, foreign currency exchange rates, etc. This service also offers streaming video service, like movies and Karaoke, and popular services such as bell sounds, character downloading, game playing, and many other services. Moreover, the service allows taxi drivers to immediately connect to a free tourist guide whenever it is needed, and provides weather forecasting and tourist information corresponding to the location of the tourist, by using location-based information technology.
In addition to the above services, NATE International service offers customized information on World Cup games schedules and their results, tailored to the users’ nationality, in short message form.
The service rate is 3,000 Korean won for terminal rental, and 1 US dollar per day for wireless data connection, including the information usage fee. The voice call rate is 100 won per 10 seconds, which is the same as an existing cellular phone rental.
Taxi: Users can connect to taxi drivers by simply clicking the menu.
Guide: Users can receive tour guide service free of charge
