SK Telecom (President: Jung Uck Seo), Internet access service Netgo provider, donated one hundred 486 PCs to the Headquarters for the Computers To Rural Areas Campaign (Chairman: Assemblyman Ho Sun Chung). SK Telecom decided to give the second-hand computers to support the campaign and promote the "One PC for One Person" drive and the balanced development of the Information Society. The PCs were delivered to the Headquarters at a ceremony held on January 20.
The Headquarters have led the initiative to send free PCs to the welfare centers and fishing and farming communities since August 1996. The PCs donated by SK Telecom will be sent to North and South Kyung-sang Province and North and South Cholla Province.
