SK Telecom, in cooperation with its customers, recently held a ’Beautiful Call Fund’ establishment ceremony. This fund is designed to give a helping hand to unfortunate neighbors.
SK Telecom’s ’Beautiful Call’ program raises funds from SK Telecom customers, and then the company donates an equal amount to this charitable fund. Customers donate funds by accessing the ’Beautiful Call Service (*011, *017, *010+Call Button)’ through 011 or 017 cellular phones after receiving lucky calls such as from a promotion, prize award, success in an examination, etc. The customers can choose the amount to donate ranging from 100 won, to 5,000 won. Whenever a 011/017 customer donates funds through the ’Beautiful Call’ program, SK Telecom donates the same amount as the customer’s donation (Matching Funds) to welfare foundations such as ’The Beautiful Foundation’.
An SK Telecom official revealed that SK Telecom, during the ’Beautiful Call’ fund establishment ceremony, donated a total of 50 million won that includes customer donated funds raised through the ’Beautiful Call’ program, and SK Telecom’s matching funds. With these funds, the company will give a helping hand to children who are suffering from serious illnesses, or physical impediments. Through this fund, donations will be made in a stable and steady manner.

Heading up the twenty officials from SK Telecom and the Beautiful Foundation participating in the ceremony, were Bang Hyung Lee, vice-president and head of SK Telecom’s Business Group, and Won Sun Park, standing director of the Beautiful Foundation.
