  • ’HELIO’ stands for ’Sun’ in the Greek language. It was chosen to take a center in the U.S. mobile communications market.

  • The existing name of ’SK-EarthLink’ was changed to ’HELIO which is the same name as the new brand in order to break into the new generation market in the U.S. early on.

  • SK-EarthLink will firmly establish a national sales marketing network starting in November, and also has full-blown plans to start a nationwide commercial service within the first half of 2006.
