Press Release
Possible to browse song numbers of Taejin, Gumyoung Karaokes, link with online music contents
Data usage free, sweepstakes events
From August 17, SK Telecom launches "mobile karaoke book" services, through which people may easily search song numbers with their mobile phones at karaoke rooms of Taejin and Gumyoung, the major karaoke machine manufacturers.
With the "mobile karaoke book" service, people may search songs not only by title but by artist name, making it easy to find songs when one knows the artist but not the title. In "My Song Box" people can save the code numbers of their favorite songs, relieving them of the effort of searching for songs whenever they go to a karaoke room.
Also, all songs have been connected to rings, connection tones, and mobile karaoke room services, so that songs enjoyed offline can be used immediately online as integrated music content. As in the case of existing karaoke books, "mobile karaoke books" are also updated to add new songs via the "version up" menu every month.
By the end of this year, users can register their mobile phone number into the karaoke machine, and songs saved in "My Song Box" are retrieved and automatically reserved. Going forward, SK Telecom plans to continue developing convenient services for karaoke manias.
Because data usage is free in this service, customers using the flat fee plan for wireless Internet can use the service without feeling burdened by cost. (Volume based users are charged a call fee when downloading songs from VM(Virtual Machine), searching additionally for songs other than those saved in VM, or using the "version up" menu.)
"Mobile Karaoke Book" services can be used by dialing **1111+ Nate, or Nate ->1. Ring/connection tone/music ->6. Challenge! Karaoke -> "BEST" menu. Sweepstakes events are also being held, with prizes including cash of 1 million won (5 winners), Samsung MP3 player (20), and 2 Cizle reservation tickets (700) by October 10.
