SK Telecom announced on May 24 that it has successfully developed with Baro Vision a mobile Internet-enabled PDA ?n.TOP Multi?. The new device enables SK Telecom?s mobile Internet service n.TOP to support high-resolution graphics and doubles as an MP3 player as well as a digital camera.

While the existing products support only low-resolution black-and-white LCD and mono sound, n.TOP Multi supports high-resolution color graphics and CD-quality stereo sound, and its enhanced mobile Internet service allows users to view Internet web pages.

n.TOP Multi is a MP3 player with a digital camera attached whose features allow users to download music files and store, delete and edit digital images using the camera. In addition, its MOD (music on demand) feature, which becomes available first time in Korea, allows users to search and listen music of their choice anytime anywhere.

Its rich Internet features support Internet connection and network games. In the case of network games, in particular, users can engage in online game-playing not only with n-TOP Multi users but also with other online service users.

n.TOP Multi combines image and music-playing capabilities the N-generation consider important. Users can store their images and record their voice to send multimedia email using the multimedia features of the new device.

SK Telecom believes that the new product will strongly appeal to the so-called N (network)-generation that want more than simple mobile Internet connection. The company says that VOD (video on demand) feature will soon be added.

n.TOP Multi will debut in the market mid May and sell for around 300,000 won.
